OCC's Dry Vapor Systems and Services * Revolutionary Cleaning Technology- far superior to conventional cleaning. * Operated by OCC's highly trained dry vapor technicians. * Dry Vapor kills up to 99. 9% of all germs (sterilization) including superbugs (MRSA, bed bugs, dust mites, spores, mold, mildew, fungus, viruses such as AIDS and allergens on contact. By Lucy Clark, When we first started OCC, we wanted to have a powerful tool that would help us achieve the ultimate level of deep cleanliness without using dangerous chemicals, as many of our clients were sensitive to harsh cleaning products. That tool was the “Dry Vapor Steam Cleaner.” No, it's not a steam cleaner, it’s dry vapor using only 5% water heated up to 300 degrees (more on how it works below). Dry Vapor is perfect for hospitals and critical care areas where germs and viruses need to be eliminated, but our commercial systems are also perfect for cleaning in residential homes (we’ve witness some amazing results in our clients health- I can’t resist a few examples!!). * A client in Nutley New Jersey whose grandson had a chronic cough, reported it gone soon after we treated her kitchen and bathroom. * Another client in Flemington New Jersey claimed our dry vapor treatment inside her kitchen drain stopped a bout of a chronic virus her family was suffering from. * A mother in Branchburg New Jersey reported that her son who was thought ADHD suddenly calmed down after doing their floors. * And for you pet lovers, a customer in Somerville NJ reported that her kitchen floor was so clean that her dogs couldn’t find their scent and became less territorial! These are only a few testimonials, but the best part of dry vapor is the ultimate sparkling cleaning result, along with the fact that the air quality is so pure afterwards (like fresh forest air). Who benefits most from an OCC Dry Vapor Treatment? * People suffering from allergies and/or respiratory difficulties. * Children suffering from ADHD and/or chemical sensitivities * Cancer patients who require an uncompromised environment free of germs and toxins * People who demand an absolutely clean environment * Adrian Monk and Felix Ungar How it works: OCC’s “Dry Vapor Cleaning System” uses boilers to heat tap water to a temperature of 330 °F, causing the water to transform into a very fine, dry mist. And unlike pro grade steam systems which leaves the surface sopping wet, dry vapor is made up of only 5% water, so surfaces dries almost instantly. This makes vapor cleaning ideal for sanitizing and de-greasing areas where water should not or cannot be used: i. e. - kitchen ovens, floors, tile, refrigerators; dining, carpet, seating areas, bedding and much more. Vapor reaches into nooks and crannies steam cannot, and will not degrade the surface of what’s being cleaned. Green is "Hot" - Studies Validate Green Disinfection Process Using Steam Vapor: Fast, Effective, Non-toxic Alternative By Rick Hoverson The challenge faced by most green cleaning programs is that while properly-used disinfectants kill undesirable microbes, these products are pesticides (per U. S. EPA), require precise dilution, and may have unhealthy environmental effects. With the rise of communicable diseases, and the recent media attention on flu season, Bird Flu, Norovirus, and nosocomial infections in hospitals, the search has been on for alternative methods of surface disinfection more compatible with the goals of green and sustainable facility care. Independent scientific tests conducted at Microbiotest Labs, consistently demonstrate effective disinfection of a variety of bacteria, viruses and mold with a 7 second application of the TANCS system. " "Steam vapor technology, therefore, is very consistent with goals of good indoor air quality and green cleaning," Mudarri continues. "Spraying a surface with a chemical agent, for example, inevitably adds pollution to the indoor air as portions of the agent evaporate from the spray and from the surface. Further, other environmental, health or safety concerns associated with the preparation, use, storage, or disposal of chemicals are avoided using this technology." Third-party testing using the AOAC Hard Surface Disinfectant protocol meeting EPA criteria, demonstrated 7-second disinfection of surfaces contaminated with Norovirus, Canine Parvovirus, and Avian Influenza (Bird Flu) strains – much faster and more effective than topical chemical-based disinfectants that may require 600-second (10 minute) dwell-time. "We now have the scientific data to demonstrate that the TANCS Steam Vapor System is many times more effective and works faster than topically applied chemical disinfectants without the associated risks for people," said Rick Hoverson, principal of Seattle-based Advanced Vapor Technologies, LLC. "It is an answer to the 'green dilemma' posed by chemical disinfectants, while delivering the labor savings mandated by tight budgets, and producing a highly sanitized surface costeffectively. " The Microbiotest data complements earlier Nelson Laboratory test results, showing a 7-second application of TANCS steam vapor resulted in a 5-7 log reduction of a number of organisms. These organisms include E-coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa (causes pneumonia and other illnesses), Salmonella choleraesuis, Listeria monocytogenes (Listeriosismeningitis/ encephalitis), Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Enterococcus faecium (VRE), and others. Seattle-based Advanced Vapor Technologies (AVT) provides state-of-the-art steam vapor sanitation systems that enable deep cleaning and disinfection, reducing the dependence on potentially harmful or corrosive chemicals. With scientificallyproven TANCS technology carrying an EPA establishment number, AVT TANCS steam vapor units have been tested and proven to disinfect surfaces in less time and with greater safety and efficacy than typical EPA-registered chemical disinfectants.
